YES TO DRESS was born out of a need for independence.

For more than thirty years, I worked as a designer for different companies. At some point, I realized that I wanted to be responsible only for my own decisions. That’s how YES TO DRESS came to life — a brand where I’m personally behind every design, every collection and every original print.

Before I started designing for others, I designed for myself. I was looking for my own language, my own kind of code. And in many ways, I’m still doing that today. I mix sportswear with glamour, comfort with sensuality, quality with a sense of ease. I like clothes that make a statement without trying too hard. Pieces with character, but ones that never overpower the person wearing them.

I’m not interested in following trends. I’m much more interested in people. I observe women — the way they live, the pace of their day, their needs, dreams and... limitations. When I design, I often have specific people in mind. I think about how they’ll feel in a piece, how they’ll move in it, where they might wear it and why they’ll choose to reach for it again the next day.

When I come across an exceptional fabric, I usually know straight away what it could become. What shape it should take, how it will move with the body and what kind of story it can tell. It’s not just intuition. It comes from years of experience, hundreds of pieces made and thousands of hours spent designing and working at the sewing machine.

I can fall in love with a fabric and introduce a new design within a few days. I can change the direction of a collection if I feel that’s where I should go.

YES TO DRESS is known for original prints, limited editions and silhouettes that give you freedom to move. I design every piece myself and create the collections together with Warsaw-based sewing studios and exceptional seamstresses I’ve been working with for years.

I use both new fabrics and materials sourced from the archives and stocks of renowned European manufacturers and fashion houses. I’m fascinated by discovering value in what already exists.
